Areas We Serve in DuPage County
Turn Key Designs is based in Lombard, Illinois, with a luxury showroom at 219 S Main Street. We serve homeowners throughout DuPage County, one of the most desirable residential areas in the Chicago suburbs. From established homes in Glen Ellyn to growing communities in Carol Stream, we bring the same level of craftsmanship, planning, and integrated design-build service to every project.
DuPage County’s housing stock ranges from mid-century ranches and split-levels to newer colonial and contemporary builds. Each community has its own character, its own building department with specific permit requirements, and its own mix of home styles and remodeling needs. We know the differences because we have worked in all of them.
Our Service Areas
Lombard
Our home base. Our showroom and office are on Main Street in downtown Lombard. We know Lombard’s housing stock intimately, from the brick bungalows near Lilacia Park to the larger homes south of Roosevelt Road. Lombard homeowners benefit from the shortest response times and easy access to our showroom for material selection throughout the project. The Village of Lombard Building Division handles all construction permits, and we have a strong working relationship with their department. Popular projects: kitchen remodels, bathroom renovations, and open-concept conversions in postwar ranch homes.
Wheaton
The DuPage County seat and one of our most active markets. Wheaton’s established neighborhoods feature well-maintained homes from the 1940s through the 1990s, many of which are prime candidates for kitchen remodels, bathroom updates, and home additions. The downtown Wheaton area has a strong mix of historic homes that benefit from thoughtful, character-preserving renovations that update function without erasing architectural personality. The City of Wheaton Building Inspections department manages the permit process.
Glen Ellyn
Glen Ellyn has one of the most active remodeling markets in DuPage County. The village’s housing ranges from pre-war Craftsman bungalows near downtown to larger homes in established subdivisions. Glen Ellyn homeowners tend to invest in quality: custom cabinetry, hardwood flooring, and thoughtful interior design are common project priorities here. The Village of Glen Ellyn Building Department handles permits for residential projects.
Downers Grove
Downers Grove offers a broad mix of housing, from 1920s bungalows in the historic downtown area to new construction in newer subdivisions. The village’s size and diversity mean we handle everything from modest kitchen updates to comprehensive whole-home renovations. The Downers Grove Community Development department manages building permits, and their process runs smoothly for properly documented projects.
Lisle
Lisle is a growing family-oriented community with a housing stock that includes 1970s through 1990s developments alongside newer construction. Many Lisle homes are reaching the age where original kitchens and bathrooms need updating. Ranch-style and bi-level homes are common, and homeowners frequently request open-concept conversions, kitchen flooring upgrades, and first-floor master suite additions. The Village of Lisle Building Division handles residential permits.
Villa Park
Villa Park borders Lombard directly, making it one of the most convenient service areas from our headquarters. The village’s affordable housing stock attracts both first-time buyers and investors, and both often need kitchen and bathroom updates. We do significant work in Villa Park, from full kitchen remodels with custom cabinets to rental property refreshes with cost-effective vinyl flooring and updated fixtures.
Glendale Heights
Glendale Heights has a growing population of homeowners investing in their properties. The village’s housing stock is primarily 1970s through 1990s construction: townhomes, split-levels, and colonial-style homes that often need updated kitchens, bathrooms, and flooring. We have seen increasing demand for premium remodeling services in Glendale Heights as homeowners choose to invest in their current homes rather than face the costs and disruption of moving.
Carol Stream
Carol Stream is one of the larger communities in DuPage County with a diverse housing mix. Many homes were built in the 1970s and 1980s and are prime candidates for kitchen and bathroom modernization. Carol Stream homeowners frequently request flooring installation (replacing original carpet with hardwood or luxury vinyl plank), custom cabinet upgrades, and countertop replacements.
Winfield
Winfield is a smaller, more rural community with a higher concentration of custom-built and higher-value homes. The remodeling market here skews toward premium finishes: custom cabinetry, natural stone countertops, hardwood flooring, and design-forward bathroom renovations. Winfield’s quieter pace and larger lot sizes often mean more ambitious projects, including home additions and outdoor living spaces.
